Controls
1. Bass
The tone circuit on the LT BOOST is known as a ‘cut and boost’
circuit. As the name suggests this allows a range of frequencies to be
reduced (i.e. cut) or increased (i.e. boosted). The bass control adjusts
the amount of cut or boost that will be applied to the bass frequencies
of your tone. In the ‘12 o’clock position’ the amount of bass is neither
cut nor boosted. Turn the control left to cut the amount of bass, or
right to increase the amount of bass.
2. Treble
Similarly, the treble control adjusts the amount of cut or boost that will
be applied to the treble frequencies of your tone. In the ‘12 o’clock
position’ the amount of treble is neither cut nor boosted. Turn the
control left to cut the amount of treble, or right to increase the amount
of treble.
3. Gain
The Gain knob controls the amount of gain boost that is applied to the
guitar signal. At low levels, a boosted clean sound will be achieved
and your amp will sound more dynamic and full. As the Gain control
is increased the amplier will start to overdrive and the resulting
distortion will be rich in harmonics and compression.
4. Effect On/Off Switch
Press this switch to turn the effect on or off.
5. Effect On/Off LED
When the LED is on the pedal is on. When the LED is not on the
pedal is off.
6. Input
Plug your guitar in here. Always use a good quality screened guitar
lead. To maximise battery life unplug your cable from the pedal when
not in use.
7. Output
This output is designed to be connected either directly to the input
of your amplier or to the input of another pedal in your signal chain.
Always use a good quality screened guitar lead.
8. DC Inlet
For the input of a 9V DC adapter. Always use a Blackstar approved
9V adapter.
9. Battery Compartment
Insert a 9V PP3 battery here. When the Effect On/Off LED begins to
glow less brightly you should change the battery.
